For
a stable emulsion to be formed the oil should always be added to water
and not vice versa, with continuous stirring. The proportion mentioned
may vary slightly depending up on the hardness of the water and the application
intended, viz, for harder water or for grinding processes a higher proportion
of lubricant is recommended.
The general mix ratio is 1:20 dilution in water for heavy jobs and 1:30
dilution in water for light jobs, upto 400 to 600 ppm of hard water.
Recommended for variety of cutting operations on ferrous and non-ferrous
metals.
